Offerings made in 2008 covered less than half the center's operating costs. DNKL was blessed by the generous contributions of one benefactor who made up for the shortfall. But this is no longer an option.

It is now the exclusive responsibility of all us students to support the center. This will require an ongoing financial commitment from all of us.

We need your financial support for DNKL to continue and thrive. To meet our $74,000 goal our students need to commit to making monthly contributions.

Thanks to the generous offerings from many students, we were recently able to replace the boiler for hot water and heat.

Contributions also allowed us to pay for repairs and maintenance to the car, which is necessary for the center to function: it serves to transport Rinpoche, provide a means to obtain food and supplies and transport students to and from the train.

Up to now the car has been provided by a dharma student who has kindly donated its use and insurance for the last two years. We have recently agreed to purchase it.

In the last six months we have done a lot of work to maintain and upgrade the property, kitchen, dining room and hall through offerings of supplies, time, skills and money. We are grateful for all of these efforts, made for the benefit of all our students and guests.
