Overcoming Difficulties in Daily Life

From August 01, 2021 10:00 am until 11:30 am
All Levels Welcome
The teachings will be based on the following book: A Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life (link in description)

Overview:

Buddhism is a psychology of the mind, providing us methods to understand our emotions and how to change our bad habits and thoughts to be happy. Geshe Dhargey shows us how to apply Buddhist practice to overcome difficulties in daily life.

Based on the A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s[1] Way of Life, a famous Mahāyāna Buddhist text written c. 700 AD in Sanskrit verse by Shantideva (Śāntideva), a Buddhist monk at Nālandā Monastic University in India.  Treasured by Buddhists of all traditions, The Way of the Bodhisattva (Bodhicharyavatara) is a guide to cultivating the mind of enlightenment and to generating the qualities of love, compassion, generosity, and patience. This text has been studied, practiced, and expounded upon in an unbroken tradition for centuries. Presented in the form of a personal meditation in verse, it outlines the path of the Bodhisattvas—those who renounce the peace of individual enlightenment and vow to work for the liberation of all beings and to attain buddhahood for their sake.
