NOTE: Gyumed Khensur Rinpoche will be at DNKL for Puja
In honor of our ultimate spiritual teacher, our great holy guru, shining light for Lama Tsongkhapa’s lineage and former abbot of Gyumed Monastery, Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Jampa, as he enters his eightieth year we have the opportunity to offer the Long Life Puja to remove all obstacles to his long life, to fulfill his wishes and aspirations, and to cause all his Dharma activities to flourish.
We are sharing this invitation with Rinpoche’s honored, kind students and close dharma friends. This Long Life Puja was requested by Do Ngak Kunphen Ling in Connecticut (DNKL), Guhyasamaja Center, MSTC in Washington, DC, MSTC of New Jersey, Jamtse Cho Ling in Canada and New York and New Jersey Monlam Ceremony Committee from Sera Mey Tsangpa House. Requests were also made by Rinpoche’s devoted western students and by many Tulkus and Geshes such as His Eminence Neten Rinpoche and Geshe Thupten Lekmon, Abbot of Rikon Monastery in Switzerland. Khensur Rinpoche kindly accepted their requests and asked that the prayers be performed in a very simple way.
As part of our regular practices of the Seven Limbs and Guru Devotion, we have an opportunity to cultivate the auspicious dependent origination for strengthening our relationship with our precious guru. Also, by offering the Long Life Puja, we receive the many benefits that the Seven Limbs and Guru Devotion practices provide. We will be performing the Sixteen Arhats Long Life Puja.
Please join us with your heartfelt devotion to celebrate Rinpoche’s 80th Birthday with the Long Life Prayer.
Lunch will be served. Please let us know if you will be attending by registering so that we may be sure to provide enough food for everyone.
