16th Annual Animal Blessing Celebration

Join us for DNKL’s 16th Annual Animal Blessing on Saturday, September 12, from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend this special community event celebrating the love, companionship, and joy that animals bring to our lives.
Bring your pets—or a photo of an animal unable to attend—for an individual blessing by our resident Tibetan Buddhist monks. Whether your companion is furry, feathered, scaled, or hoofed, all animals are welcome. The Animal Blessing will take place from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
Held in our beautiful upper field overlooking more than 100 acres of peaceful countryside, the afternoon offers something for everyone. Meet friendly farm animals including goats, horses, and more; visit local animal rescue organizations, local vendors, an animal artist, an animal naturalist, and other community exhibitors; browse our Tibetan craft shop; and enjoy a special guest speaker (to be announced soon). Guests are also invited to explore our scenic walking trails and spend time enjoying the natural beauty of the property.
Chairs and shaded seating areas will be available, although guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair if they prefer. Whether you spend the afternoon with family and friends, explore the grounds, or simply relax in nature, this is a wonderful opportunity to honor the animals who have touched our lives and to celebrate the special bond we share with them.
Additional details, including participating vendors, organizations, activities, and our guest speaker, will be added to this event page as they are confirmed.
