Event Series Event Series: Compassion Day

Compassion Day

May 25 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

OVERVIEW:

We hear the word “compassion” very often these days, but what does it really mean to be compassionate? What kinds of inner qualities does compassion include and how do we take steps to develop these qualities and integrate them into our lives such that they become part of our inner being? Drawing on writings by the Dalai Lama such as The Book of Joy, and In Praise of Great Compassion as well as other texts including Shantideva’s Guide to a Bodhisattva’s Way of Life and Asanga’s Bodhisattvabhumi, we will explore how leading a life imbued with compassion is a joyful force for positive inner and social change.  All are welcome to attend.

Please register to attend in person so we can plan for snacks.
