Lamrim Study Group

March 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

OVERVIEW:

Under the guidance of Geshe Ngawang Kelsang, Ven. Losang Tendrol will review the chapters of the lam rim that Geshe la explained from March to December 2023 (i.e., chapter 17 onward). In order to understand the meaning and significance of these chapters, we first need to be familiar with a wide range of core principles which are presented earlier in chapters 11 to 14. These building blocks of knowledge include subjects such as conventional and ultimate existence, rational analysis, dependent arising, and the key assertions of the non-Buddhist and Buddhist tenet schools. All of these themes come together in Tsonghapa’s detailed analysis in chapter 17 titled “Actual Object to be Negated” and his presentation of the Svatantrika – Prasangika Madyamika schools in chapters 18 to 21.

This class is intended for Geshe Ngawang Kelsang’s current lam rim students.  Please contact Ven. Tendrol if you have questions.
