Six Session Guru Yoga Practice
Please Note: To attend this teaching, you must have received Yoga and/or Highest Yoga tantra initiation from a qualified teacher. Please reach out to Geshe Dhargey if you have any questions on the requirements to attend.
OVERVIEW:
The Six Session Guru Yoga practice is intended for people who have received a Yoga Tantra or Highest Yoga Tantra initiation. In order to progress in your practice, it is most important that you keep all the vows and pledges as purely as you can. The main purpose of the Six-Session Guru Yoga practice is to help you keep the Bodhisattva and Tantric vows and pledges properly in the context of venerating your Root Lama.
Further, it is a mandatory daily commitment for practitioners. Despite its name, it is typically performed in two separate daily sessions (once in the morning and once in the evening). However, the commitment requires that practitioners recollect the meaning of the vows and pledges exactly six times a day. According to oral tradition, keeping these commitments perfectly can bring a practitioner to Enlightenment within a handful of lifetimes!
This teaching is strongly recommended for anyone who has Yoga and/or Highest Yoga initiation but has not yet familiarized oneself with this essential and required practice.

About Khensur Rinpoche:
Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Jampa is one of the most respected teachers in the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
