Compassion Retreat (1 Day Version)

From December 07, 9:00 am until December 07, 9:00 pm

Overview:

Even though we may have studied the Lam Rim and read many books about compassion and bodhicitta, that is not enough to free us from samsara. In order to completely open our hearts to others, we need to fully engage in compassion practices.

In this full day of practice, Ven. Tendrol and Ven. Choephel under the guidance of Geshe Losang Dhargye, will focus on the recitation of Chenrezig's peerless mantra OM MANI PADME HUM. The benefits of reciting OM MANI PADME HUM are indescribably powerful. Reciting even a single mala purifies endless negative karma and closes the door to rebirth in the lower realms forever.

In addition to the mantra recitation, there will be guided meditations on topics from the lam rim. We will wrap up in the evening by reading passages from a sutra.

We will dedicate the merit for the good health and long life of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso and for world peace.
There are no pre-requisites for participating in this practice,  all are welcome to attend.
