Venerable Emeritus Abbot Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Jampa our resident spiritual teacher at DNKL has agreed to give a very special teaching on the Completion Stage practice of Solitary Hero Vajrabhairava.
Yamāntaka Completion Stage
This dark blue-black Yamantaka, the wrathful emanation of Manjushri, the Buddha of Wisdom, is one of the most widely practiced deities within the Gelug tradition. Further, it was Je Tsongkapa’s foremost personal deity from whom he received direct visions that were a constant source of empowerment, inspirations, instruction, and even personal advice. Because of this, the Gelug tradition contains many unique and unexcelled oral instructions on the practice of Yamantaka. The practice is particularly relevant to our present time, as one of its five specific features is the capacity to overcome completely even the greatest hindrances and negativities encountered during this degenerate era.
Yamantaka Completion Stage practices involve the yoga of shape, the yoga of mantra, the yoga of commitment, and the yoga of pure pristine awareness. In his teaching, Gyume Khensur will draw on a vast range of authoritative sources with particular reference to the works of the renowned Yamantaka yogi-scholar Tri Gyaltsen Senge and the Fifth Ling Rinpoche, Losang Lungtog Tenzin Trinley. Most importantly, Gyume Khensur’s presentation is given based on his own vast knowledge of this particular Highest Yoga Tantric deity. Gyume Khensur has given many empowerments, teachings on Generation Stage practices, retreat, and all of the required rituals associated with this method.
NOTE: Solitary Hero Vajrabhairava is a Highest Yoga Tantra practices, and further it belongs to the class of Father Tantras. This teaching is only open to those who have received a Highest Yoga Tantra initiation specifically in Solitary Hero or 13 Deity Yamantaka from a qualified tantric Vajra Master.
FURTHER NOTE: Gyume Khensur will be giving Solitary Hero Vajrabhairava initiation at DNKL in Redding, CT on July 22nd and 23rd. Information and Registration
